Waveguard Studies
Waveguard commission studies from highly reputable international organisations. Significant and continued investment is made into these studies to reliably demonstrate and prove the functionality of the Qi/Waveguard products. You can review their findings below.
- Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO
- Dartsch Scientific, Institute for Cell Biological Test Systems
- Bion,Institute for Bioelectromagnetics and New Biology
- IIREC, International Institute for Research on Electromagnetic Compatibility
- FCC, Federal Communications Commission.
The studies conducted and presented below serve the purpose of being able to qualitatively classify the effectiveness of the Qi technology and give an indication of positive biological effects of the products. Results of the studies do not reflect individual experiences and individual results may vary.

Neutralisation of mobile phone radiation by Qi-Shield: Examinations with cultured connective tissue fibroblasts
31 December, 2019
The study performed on cells (connective tissue fibroblasts) examined the effect of non-thermal radiation emitted by an active mobile phone on cell regeneration/wound healing in cultured cells. In addition, it also investigated if there is a protective effect of a Qi- Shield on cells exposed to mobile phone radiation.
The study results showed that cell regeneration and wound healing of connective tissue fibroblasts was strongly reduced by the non-thermal radiation of an active mobile phone, and that the use of the Qi-Shield neutralised this effect by approximately 90%.

Beneficial effects of water after enrichment with electrons by Qi-Home Cell: Investigations with cultured cells
10 July 2019
Dartsch Scientific investigated whether water exposed to the Qi-Home Cell (“Qi water”) has any potentially beneficial effect on cells, in comparison with untreated tap.
The results of the experiment showed that Qi water had an antioxidative effect against both exogenous (external) and endogenous (internal) free oxygen radicals, such inflammatory processes in the body

A neurophysiological and psychological study to evaluate the effects of a lifestyle product
July 2021
The Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO works together with companies and public-sector bodies and institutions to develop strategies, business models and solutions for digital transformation.
From September 2020 to April 2021, the Fraunhofer Institute IAO scientifically examined the effects of the product Qi-Shield produced by the Waveguard GmbH on a psychological, psychophysiological and neurophysiological level in a study commissioned by Waveguard GmbH.
Waveguard is presently organising a follow on study to examine the results more deeply.

Protective influence on human organism against wireless router radiation
9 August 2019
This study examined what happens to humans when exposed to a wifi router in vicinity, and in the presence of a Qi-Shield device. Electrophysiological parameters of 45 subjects were tested in total, divided into three groups (real Qi-Shield + wifi on, sham Qi-Shield + wifi on, and a control group).
The results of the study suggested that the Qi-Shield promoted relaxation in the study participants and had a protective influence on the study participants against wireless router radiation.
IIREC - Qi-Home Cell & geopathic zones and water quality
IIREC, International Institute for Research on Electromagnetic Compatibility 22 June 2017
In this study researchers examined whether the Qi-Home Cell has an effect on geopathic zones and water quality.
The results of the study showed that the Qi-Home Cell balanced geopathic disturbances, magnetic field disruptions and had a favorable effect on water quality.

FCC, Federal Communications Commission
The Qi-Shield, Qi-Home Cell and Qi-Max have undergone FCC testing and are FCC certified.
2019 and 2020
The FCC mark is an internationally recognised certification showing that a product is safe and doesn’t interfere with electromagnetic fields from other electronic devices. The safety limits are set by the Federal Communications Commission.

Qi-Shield, Qi-Home Cell & chemical testing
2021
The external components of the Qi-Mobile, Qi-Shield and Qi-Home Cell devices have passed and are compliant under extended regulatory requirements for toys in Germany/EU 01/2020. This means that the materials tested are non-toxic and safe to be around children.
